Fourth of July Cookout

The weather didn't permit an Independence Day cookout, so a friend prepared a Middle Eastern feast. We watched Brazil beat Columbia to move on in the World Cup, sat on the patio, drank rosé and bitter local beer, listened to jazz and talked about the four verses of the Star-Spangled Banner, France and blisters, and ran out for fireworks. Random to the max, and that is good.
